Summary:
Kubi (2023) plunges viewers into the tumultuous 16th century, a time when rival warlords vied for supremacy over Japan. Lord Oda Nobunaga, determined to unify the nation, faces rebellion when one of his vassals, Araki Murashige, betrays him and vanishes. Enraged, Nobunaga commands his remaining vassals, including Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi, to capture the fugitive, offering the reward of succession to the most diligent among them. Amidst a web of schemes, betrayals, and traps, the situation grows increasingly perilous, culminating at Honno-ji temple. As ambitions collide and loyalty is tested, the final question looms: whose heads will roll, and who will emerge victorious?
