“One Missed Call: Final” is a 2006 Japanese horror film Directed by Manabu Asô. The movie is the third and final installment in the “One Missed Call” film series, which is based on a novel by Yasushi Akimoto.
The “One Missed Call” series revolves around a supernatural curse that spreads through mobile phones. In the films, individuals receive mysterious voicemail messages from their own future selves, foretelling their deaths. The curse leads to a chain of events where the victims attempt to evade their fates, often in vain. In “One Missed Call: Final,” the curse escalates to an even more terrifying level. A high school class, who had previously experienced the curse in the first film, becomes the target of a new wave of eerie voicemail messages. As the students receive these disturbing calls, they realize that they are running out of time to unravel the mystery behind the curse and break its deadly cycle.
