“Paco and the Magical Book” is a 2008 Japanese fantasy comedy film Directed by Tetsuya Nakashima. The movie is based on the novel “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo.
The story follows a quirky and eccentric woman named Harumi Hagiwara (played by Ayase Haruka), who works as a librarian in a small town. Harumi is known for her love of books and storytelling, often creating imaginative and whimsical tales for the children who visit the library.
One day, a mysterious man named Paco (played by Kengo Kora) appears at the library, carrying a large and magical book that he claims contains the stories of every person in the world. Paco is on a quest to find a special story within the book, a story that will grant a miracle to save his beloved sister.
