“The Fable” (Japanese: “ザ・ファブル”) is a 2019 Japanese action-comedy film Directed by Kan Eguchi. The movie is based on the manga of the same name written by Katsuhisa Minami.
The story centers around Akira Sato (played by Junichi Okada), a legendary hitman known as “The Fable” due to his incredible skills and ability to carry out assassinations without a trace. After retiring from the criminal underworld, Akira attempts to assimilate into normal society and live a quiet life. However, his past catches up with him when he is tasked with taking on a series of dangerous assignments.
