“A Man of Reason,” directed by Jung Woo-sung, depicts Su-hyuk’s struggles after a decade of imprisonment serving his employer. Desiring a normal life with his ex-girlfriend Min-seo and their daughter In-bi, Su-hyuk finds it challenging to transition from the underworld’s upper echelons to an ordinary existence. While Su-hyuk aspires to a quiet life, his employer, who has taken on a façade of legitimacy, still operates in criminal activities such as theft and murder under the guise of urban development. Despite his reluctance, they seek Su-hyuk’s involvement, forcing him to confront his past and navigate the blurry lines between right and wrong as he attempts to forge a new path forward.
