“Haemoo” (Korean: “해무”) is a 2014 South Korean thriller film directed by Shim Sung-bo and produced by Bong Joon-ho. The movie is known for its intense and harrowing portrayal of a desperate situation at sea and the moral dilemmas faced by its characters.
The story is based on a true event and follows the crew of a fishing boat that becomes entangled in a dangerous smuggling operation.
