The teenage years of Norman Bates from Alfred Hitchcock’s Bates Motel follow Norma Bates’ attempt to start a new life jogging a small town hotel with her son, Norman, after the loss of life of her husband. Her hopes are almost immediately dashed when she is sexually assaulted by the motel’s former owner, which starts a chain of activities that depart her each determined for earnings and under the watchful eye of Sheriff Romero. The family’s twisted dynamics emerge as clearer as time passes, especially with Norman, whom she constantly manipulates.
Even though her relationship with Norman’s brother Dylan is also a long way from healthy. Norman, in spite of struggling from hallucinations and blackouts, tries to have a relatively everyday excessive faculty experience and attracts the interest of Emma (Olivia Cooke), an intelligent classmate who suffers from cystic fibrosis.
