Season 5 has been remarkably solid, so a good deal so that there are absolutely a few contenders for Weakest Episode. This one takes the cake for its forgettable plot, predictable setup, and effortless inspecting of Jake and his half-sister Katie’s household issues. In the end, though, it’s Braugher’s dry deadpan matched with his heightened bombast that most persistently steals the show. The fifth season of Brooklyn nine-nine will return with Sergeant Terry Jeffords, Amy Santiago, Detective Charles Boyle, and Detective Rosa Diaz.
