The eighth season finds Ted (Josh Radnor) nonetheless struggling with his romantic existence as he gives things another attempt with Victoria (Ashley Williams) and, later, a difficult female named Jeanette (Abby Elliott). Meanwhile, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) makes one last epic play for Robin (Cobie Smulders), and they get engaged. Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) adjust to existence as new parents, and Lily pursues a new profession probability as an artwork consultant. The massive story, though, is nonetheless Ted’s ride as he strikes closer to the show’s endgame, in which he will finally meet his future wife. In fact, viewers get their first glimpse of the mother (played by using Cristin Milioti) at the tail stop of the season.
