The ninth and remaining season indicators a principal departure for the show. J.D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) go to an educating health center and share their knowledge with a batch of new interns: the painfully blunt Denise (Eliza Coupe); Lucy (Kerry Bishé), who takes over narrating duties from J.D.; med-school burnout Drew (Michael Mosley); and rich kid Cole (Dave Franco). Though the show’s center of attention shifted to the new interns in Season 9, all participants of the authentic forged made appearances with the exception of Judy Reyes. The students acquire new views as their first semester wraps up in the Season 9 finale. Cole finds his real calling, while Drew reaches a non-public milestone and Lucy receives professional inspiration.
