Season 3’s sucker-punch particularly effective although is that it comes as something of a surprise. For the higher section of an hour, the first ha;f of the two-part finale appears poised to put a festive bow on almost the whole thing that’s come before, beautiful every person who cheered ultimate week when the ready-to-rock Agent Cooper emerged from a summer-long fog. But the whole lot sours shortly at the end of the episode, and in the following one. All in all, these have been two mesmerizing hours of television, but due to the fact they observe Lynch’s traditional dream-logic, they’re no longer constantly simple about their meaning.
