Season 3 of this drama collection opens with Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) asking—and now a large duty rests on the shoulders of this former farmer. At the start of his reign, Ragnar desires to return to Wessex and claim the land that used to be promised to him by way of the English. However, it is no longer positive that King Ecbert (Linus Roache) will certainly hold his promise to the Vikings. Meanwhile, Ragnar is resolved on breaking down the partitions of Paris, deemed impenetrable to outdoor forces, and similarly cement the legend of the Vikings in history.
