The first season takes place from 1977 to 1980, in the early days of criminal psychology and criminal profiling in the FBI. This season features the recurring role of Cameron Britton as notorious serial killer Edmund Kemper, the first person to help Ford and Tench understand how a serial killer’s mind works.
