The comedy drama film is directed and co-written by Armando Iannuci. The movie is based on Charles Dickens’ book David Copperfield. The movie features Dev Patel, Aneurin Barnard, Peter Capli, Morfydd Clarke, Daisy May Cooper, Rosalind Eleazar, Hugh Laurie, Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw and Paul Whitehouse.
David Copperfield was born to his widowed mother Clara who later on marries an ill-mannered man Mr. Murdstone who ruins his and his mothers life. The movie that starts from his childhood eventually progresses to his adulthood that is full of adventures that he experiences in his life, friends and enemies he makes on the way.
