“Parasite in Love” (Japanese: “恋する寄生虫” – Koisuru Kiseichu) is a 2021 Japanese romantic drama film Directed by Kensaku Kakimoto. The movie is based on the novel of the same name written by Sugaru Miaki.
The story follows a young man named Mitsuru (played by Kento Hayashi), who is struggling with his sense of purpose and direction in life. He becomes infatuated with a mysterious woman named Tetsuko (played by Tao Tsuchiya) who claims to be a parasite that feeds on negative emotions. Tetsuko’s unique perspective on life and her unconventional beliefs begin to impact Mitsuru’s outlook and relationships.
