The Exit 8 directed by Genki Kawamura is a psychological mystery-horror film that traps its protagonist in a terrifying and claustrophobic time loop. The story follows a man who suddenly finds himself completely alone and trapped inside the labyrinthine corridors of a Japanese subway station. As he desperately searches for a way out he realizes he is stuck in an endless loop, forced to walk the same stretch of white tiled passageway over and over. To escape and reach Exit 8 he must complete a meticulous and unnerving mission: carefully observe his surroundings for any bizarre anomalies or subtle changes. If he spots something out of the ordinary, he must immediately turn back if the path is normal he must keep moving forward.
