The movie is an American biographical drama film based on the book by the same name by Paul L. Mariani. The movie is about the American poet Hart Crane. His story is depicted through a series of poems that shows his life episodes where he tries to take his own life, has various same-sex relationships.
His troubled relationship with his father and close relationship with his mother and his hating the job he is into is also a major them of the life that pushes him through various ups and downs in his life.
The movie is written, directed, and edited by James Franco. Dave Franco and James Franco himself appear in the character of Hart Crane in the movie.
