The Japanese animated drama film is co-written and directed by Satoshi Kon. The movie features Miyoko Shoji, Mami Koyama, Fumiko Orikasa, Shozoi Iizuka, Shoko Tsuda, Hirotaka Kyoda, Koichi Yamadera and Masane Tsukayama.
Chiyoko Fujiwara a filmmaker decides to make a documentary on the former actress Chiyoko Fujiwara. She is now in her old age and does not want publicity, but when Chiyoko Fujiwara approaches her, she is all ready to take him on the journey of her life right from a teenager when she dreamt of becoming an actress to becoming a celebrity.
