The Japanese animated psychological science fiction film is co-written and co-directed by Hideaki Anno. The movie features the voices of Megumi Ogata, Kotono Mitsuishi, Megumi Hayashibara, Yuko Miyamura, Akira Ishida, Fumihiko Tachiki, and Koichi Yamadera.
An experiment that goes destructively wrong destroys humankind in a catastrophe called the Second impact. Almost fifteen years later, giant beings called ‘Angels’ appear on earth a special agency NERV fight with them. A fourteen-year-old Shinji Ikari becomes the center of the fight.
