A millennium ago people were forced to leave the earth and establish a new home in Nova Prime. General Cypher is the head of the most prominent family in Nova prime and his teenage son Kitai is under a lot of pressure to follow the footsteps of his father. Their relationship deteriorates with time. As a way to rebuild their bond they set out a journey to Earth that comes with a lot of challenges.
