Bumblebee the Autobot finds shelter in a junkyard in a remote California beach town on the run in the year 1987. Charlie soon encounters the battle-scarred and battered Bumblebee, on the verge of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world. She soon discovers, as Charlie revives him, that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.
