The American romantic comedy is based on Kevin Kwan’s book by the same name released in 2013. The movie is directed by Jon M. Chu and features Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, Ken Jeong, and Michelle Yech.
Rachel Chu and her boyfriend go to Singapore to attend a wedding. There she realizes that her boyfriend belongs to a very wealthy family and is one of the most eligible bachelors in the country. When that realization, she also gets to face a lot of jealously and disapproval of her boyfriend’s mother.
