Subsequent to being effectively sued for slander by an affluent industrialist, insightful columnist Mikael Blomqvist leaves his magazine Millennium and acknowledges a proposal from Henrik Vanger to compose the Vanger family ancestry. An old modern family, the Vangers have a lot of dearly held secrets. What Henrik is generally keen on adapting anyway is what befallen his niece, Harriet Vanger, who he is sure was killed by a his relative in the late spring of 1966. Mikael takes on the errand and moves into a little bungalow on the Vanger domain. He starts to interpret a portion of the signs Harriet has abandoned and chooses to get a right hand, PC programmer Lisbeth Salander, the one who did the exhaustive record verification on him for Vanger. Together, they learn of a portion of the Vangers profound, savage privileged insights.
