The biographical drama film is based on the life of the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in the 20th century, Margaret Thatcher. She is also the longest serving Prime minister of the United Kingdom. The movie is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and features Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent, Olivia Colman, Roger Allam, Susan Brown, Nick Dunning, Nicholas Farrell, Iain Glen and Richard E. Grant.
In the final years of her life Margaret Thatcher reflects on her life and political career. Thatcher, daughter of grocer broke all the stereotypes in the society of gender and class and sat on the seat of the Prime Minister for eleven long years and took very important and tough decisions.
