As an explosion occurred outside, a Jewish pianist named Wladislaw Szpilman was playing the piano at the radio station. This was the start of the German Nazi occupation of Polland. His family protested when he came home over how they should hide the rest of their money so that the Germans couldn’t see it. They saw their area was fenced as they looked out the window. Since then, there has been a complicated situation in their lives. The German exiled his family and forcefully made his way to the concentration camp by rail. In the Warsaw Ghetto, Szpilman was left behind and struggled for life alone.
