Following the assassination of a mutual friend, ambitious con man Johnny Hooker teams up with old pro Henry Gondorff to exact vengeance on Doyle Lonnegan, the ruthless crime lord responsible. Hooker and Gondorff set about devising a complicated plan, one so devious that Lonnegan would be totally unaware of his deception. However, when their major con unfolds, things don’t go as expected, forcing the unfazed pair to improvise at the last minute.
