“Love Exposure” (Japanese: “愛のむきだし”) is a 2008 Japanese drama film directed by Sion Sono. The movie is known for its provocative and unique narrative, blending elements of drama, romance, comedy, and social commentary.
The story follows Yu Honda (played by Takahiro Nishijima), a teenage boy who becomes a skilled “panty shot” photographer as a result of a bet with his friends. His life takes a complicated turn when he meets a mysterious girl named Yoko (played by Hikari Mitsushima) and falls in love with her. However, his feelings for Yoko are challenged by his involvement with a religious cult led by her father, who manipulates and exploits his followers.
