A Week Away, Netflix’s High School Musical-style play for the contemporary Christian youngster market feels unusually unrooted from our course of events. The film opens with a reason excessively pat and detached to suspend one’s doubt: unruly vagrant Will Hawkins has taken a cop vehicle, among a large number of insignificant violations, and the outcome? After a respectful capture for running from an official with a guitar case close by, a piece of pleasant advice from Children and Family Services about the danger of juvie. Fortunately for Will, he’s quickly encouraged by a dark mother, Kristin, and her child George depending on the prerequisite that he goes through seven days at the Christian day camp where Kristin works.
