The Japanese rotoscoped youth drama film is written and directed by Shunji Iwai. The movie features the voices of Yu Aoi, Anne Suzuki, Ryo Katsuji, Haru Kuroki, Tae Kimura, Sei Hirazumi, Shoko Aida, Ranran Suzuki and Tomohiro Kaku.
Tetsuko, a fourteen year old girl moves to a new town with her mother and joins a new school. The new school was unwelcoming; she was bullied by the students. Later she is made to sit on seat of a murdered student. Curious to know what happened before she joined the school, she starts investigating the case by herself.
