A punctual and hardworking FedEx executive Chuck Noland is going on an assignment in Malaysia. He is on the plane when his plane crashes over the Pacific Ocean in a storm. In the fatal crash, all the passengers die but only Chuck survives. He finds himself on an island and tries to establish contact with the rescuers after all his efforts fail he learns to survive on the island and makes a Volleyball friend Wilson accompany him on the lonely island.
The movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis and features Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt, and Nick Searcy.
