The American mystery drama film is co-written and directed by Rupert Goold and is based on Michael Finkel’s book by the same name. Michael Finkel loses his job as a New York Times journalist when he is found to be covering a slave-trading story with a half-truth. His already troubled situation becomes worse when a make accused of murdering his own family takes his identity escapes the police.
