“Cure” (Japanese: “キュア”) is a 1997 Japanese psychological thriller film Directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa.
The story centers around Detective Kenichi Takabe (played by Koji Yakusho), who is investigating a series of gruesome murders in which the victims are killed by having an “X” carved into their bodies. As he delves deeper into the case, Takabe encounters a mysterious and enigmatic man named Mamiya (played by Masato Hagiwara), who appears to have a hypnotic and manipulative influence over others. Takabe becomes obsessed with unraveling the truth behind the murders and Mamiya’s connection to them.
