“Laplace’s Witch” (Japanese: “ラプラスの魔女”) is a 2018 Japanese mystery thriller film Directed by Takashi Miike. The movie is based on the novel “Laplace no Majo” by Keigo Higashino.
The story revolves around a series of mysterious and unexplainable deaths that occur in a small village. A physicist named Yukawa (played by Sho Sakurai) teams up with a rookie detective named Utsumi (played by Suzu Hirose) to investigate the deaths and uncover the truth behind the strange occurrences. As they delve deeper into the case, they begin to uncover hidden secrets and connections that lead them to question the laws of physics and the nature of reality.
