After getting trapped in the future at the end of season one, a teenage Jonas Kahnwald (played by way of Louis Hofmann) managed to tour via time.
Jonas spent an extremely good deal of time caught in the post-apocalyptic future of Winden, the vicinity all his cherished ones had died in an explosion at the nuclear electricity plant. In the future, Winden used to be run by Elisabeth Doppler (Sandra Borgmann), who knew about Sic Mundus and promised her followers they would be rewarded with paradise one day. She stopped her followers from going to the ruins of the power plant, which contained the God Particle – a black, unstable spherical entity that allowed human beings to experience through time.
