The movie follows Elle, an older woman who aspires to emerge as an affluent clothier and run her own business. Just like the special Cinderella story, she lives with her stepmother and two stepsisters in the basement of their home, whereby she brings her dream of growing garments to life. The Prince, as it goes, falls in love with Ella, who manages to come to the ball however all hurdles. But things might also no longer go the way they are meant. Her stepmother Vivian makes her work as their maid, threatening her and then throwing her out of the residence if she wills. As the movie progresses, it opens up a flat side to Vivian. Her cruelty gets a justification.
