Holt Farrier, a World War I veteran and accomplished trick rider, returns to the financially strapped Medici Brothers’ Circus, unsure of what to expect. Holt finds himself caring for the elephants, especially Mrs Jumbo’s beautiful newborn child, Dumbo: a mistreated infant teased for his spectacular, floppy, and huge ear. After Dumbo’s stunning debut, the strange pachyderm with the doleful blue eyes captures the attention of V.A. Vandevere, a famous amusement park magnate, and Colette Marchant, a French aerial artist. But now that the truth has been revealed, the desire for success takes over, and Vandevere and his stunning Dreamland theme park become more than meets the eye.
