When she is whisked away to her father’s yacht and out of the King’s clutches, Ellie Andrews has just tied the knot with the society aviator King Westley. Ellie hops on a cruise and ultimately ends up on a bus going back to her husband. She must reluctantly accept the help of Peter Warne, an out-of-work reporter. In reality, Warne gives her no choice: either she’ll stay with him until he gets her back to her husband, or she’ll blow her father’s whistle on Ellie. Either way, Peter gets what he wants (he thinks!)… A very juicy story from a newspaper.
