Dishonourably sacked Afghanistan veteran Thomas has returned to his home village of Jericho. Ali, a local Turkish-German businessman, owner of a snack-bar chain, hires him as a driver. That’s when Thomas meets Laura, the young and attractive wife of his Turkish boss. A classic love triangle is born, unfolding in desolate northeastern Germany, where dense forests abruptly end on cliffs overlooking the Baltic Sea. Torn between passion and reason, between guilt and freedom, the heroes have no hope of fulfilling their dreams.
