Victor Martin (William Shatner) is a former NASA test pilot who is often seen racing around Palm Springs in his antique Porsche convertible, towing his best friend Sal (Christopher Lloyd). When his license is suspended for drag racing and his car is impounded, his life is turned upside down.Forcing him to use public transit for the first time, he encounters his polar opposite Caroline (Jean Smart) and re-learns how to handle love and life as he fights the state’s new DA for his licence and car.
