“Inuyashiki” is a 2018 Japanese science fiction drama film Directed by Shinsuke Sato. The movie is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.
The story follows Ichiro Inuyashiki (played by Noritake Kinashi), an elderly and unassuming man who is diagnosed with terminal cancer and faces a lack of respect and understanding from his family and society. However, his life takes a supernatural turn when he is caught in an extraterrestrial explosion that transforms his body into a powerful and technologically advanced machine.
As Inuyashiki grapples with his newfound abilities, he decides to use his powers for good, embarking on a mission to save lives and protect innocent people. Alongside him is Hiro Shishigami (played by Takeru Satoh), a young man who also gained superhuman abilities from the same event but chooses to use them for darker and more sinister purposes.
