“Woman on the Beach” (Korean: 해변의 여인) is a 2006 South Korean romantic drama film directed by Hong Sang-soo. The movie is known for its exploration of relationships, emotions, and human interactions.
The story follows filmmaker Joong-rae (played by Kim Seung-woo) as he takes a trip to a beachside resort to work on his screenplay. He is accompanied by his friend and production designer Chang-wook (played by Kim Tae-woo) and Chang-wook’s girlfriend Moon-sook (played by Ko Hyun-joung). However, their relationships become complicated when Joong-rae becomes infatuated with Sun-hee (played by Song Sun-mi), a woman they encounter at the resort.
