Earl Stone, played by Clint Eastwood, is a ninety-year-old man who is broke, alone, and on the verge of losing his business when he is offered a job that merely requires him to drive. Simple enough, but Earl has just joined on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel, something he is completely unaware of. Earl’s load grows tremendously as a result of his success, and he is appointed a handler. However, he isn’t the only one who is keeping an eye on Earl. Colin Bates, a hard-charging D.E.A. agent, has also noticed the strange new drug mule. Earl’s past mistakes begin to weigh heavily on him as his money troubles fade away, and it’s unclear if he’ll have time to right those wrongs before law police or the cartel’s enforcers catch up to him.
