“First Love” (Japanese: “初恋” – Hatsukoi) is a 2019 Japanese romantic comedy-drama film Directed by Takashi Miike. The movie is known for its blend of romance, action, and dark humor.
The story follows Leo Katsuragi (played by Masataka Kubota), a young boxer who is diagnosed with a terminal illness and has little time left to live. One night, he crosses paths with Monica (played by Sakurako Konishi), a drug-addicted woman caught in a dangerous scheme involving yakuza, corrupt police officers, and a bag of drugs. Leo becomes entangled in the chaos and danger, and along the way, he develops a bond with Monica.
