“Ju-On: The Grudge” is a 2002 Japanese supernatural horror film Directed by Takashi Shimizu. The movie is also known simply as “Ju-On” and is part of the highly successful “Ju-On” franchise.
The film is structured as an anthology, consisting of six interconnected segments, each focusing on different characters who have come into contact with a cursed house. The story centers around a vengeful spirit known as Kayako, who haunts the house and anyone who enters it.
The curse is said to be born from the intense rage and sorrow of Kayako, who suffered a tragic and violent death in the house along with her young son, Toshio, and their cat. Anyone who encounters the curse is doomed to be haunted and eventually killed by the malevolent spirits.
