Five kids sentenced to neighborhood provider get struck by lightning, gain superpowers, and then proceed not to use them as much as possible. Turns out, though, they’re no longer the solely human beings who obtained (mostly underwhelming) powers, and the group, over the first series, is compelled to now not solely use their powers but come together as a makeshift team. And at every turn, at any place they can mock the thought of turning into superheroes or inserting on costumes, they do. It takes a real-world view of superhero and comic book ideas.
